Dashboard Overview

The Dashboard is your command center for monitoring incidents, tracking team activity, and accessing quick actions. It provides real-time metrics and updates via WebSocket to keep you informed of your team’s operational status.

The live metrics panel displays key operational indicators:

Active Incidents

  • Count of unresolved incidents
  • Breakdown by severity (Critical, High, Medium, Low)
  • Visual indicators for urgent attention needed
  • Trend indicators (↑ increasing, → stable, ↓ decreasing)

Recent Procedure Executions

  • Success rates for recent executions
  • Average execution time
  • Currently running procedures
  • Most frequently executed procedures

Team Activity

  • Active team members
  • Recent comments and updates
  • Collaboration metrics
  • Team response times

System Health

  • Integration status (connected/disconnected)
  • WebSocket connection status
  • API health indicators
  • Platform version information

Create New Incident

Dashboard → "Create Incident" button
  • Quickly create incidents without navigating away

Execute Procedure

Dashboard → "Execute Procedure" button
  • Browse available procedures
  • Filter by category or search by name
  • View execution history before starting
  • One-click execution for favorited procedures

Search Knowledge Base

Dashboard → Search icon OR Ctrl+K (Cmd+K on Mac)
  • Semantic search across all content
  • Natural language query support
  • Results include incidents, procedures, comments
  • AI-powered relevance ranking

View Recent Activity

Dashboard → Activity Feed (right sidebar)
  • Real-time stream of team activities
  • Filter by activity type
  • Quick navigation to related items
  • @mention notifications highlighted

Customize your dashboard layout and widgets:

Drag and Drop Organization

  1. Click the “Edit Layout” button (top right)
  2. Drag widgets to reposition
  3. Resize widgets by dragging corners
  4. Click “Save Layout” to persist changes

Widget Settings

  • Click gear icon on any widget
  • Configure data ranges (1 hour to 30 days)
  • Set refresh intervals
  • Choose visualization type (chart, list, table)
  • Hide/show specific metrics

Saving Views

  1. Configure filters and layout
  2. Click “Save View” button
  3. Name your custom view
  4. Set as default (optional)
  5. Access from Views dropdown

Personalize your dashboard appearance:

Color Theme

Dashboard → User Avatar → Settings → Theme
  • Light Mode: High contrast for bright environments
  • Dark Mode: Reduced eye strain for low-light conditions
  • Auto: Matches system theme
  • High Contrast: Enhanced accessibility

Display Density

  • Comfortable: Default spacing with full information
  • Compact: More information in less space
  • Cozy: Extra spacing for readability

Data Refresh

  • Real-time: WebSocket updates (recommended)
  • 30 seconds: Periodic polling
  • 1 minute: Reduced network usage
  • Manual: Refresh on demand only

The dashboard uses WebSocket technology for instant updates:

Green Indicator (top right)

  • ✅ Connected and receiving real-time updates
  • Data syncs instantly across all users
  • New activities appear immediately

Yellow Indicator

  • ⚠️ Reconnecting to WebSocket server
  • Recent activities may be delayed
  • Automatic reconnection in progress

Red Indicator

  • ❌ Disconnected from real-time updates
  • Manual refresh required
  • Check network connection
  • Contact administrator if persistent

During Incident Response

Dashboard Not Updating

  1. Check WebSocket connection indicator (top right)
  2. Verify network connection is stable
  3. Try manual refresh (Ctrl+R / Cmd+R)
  4. Clear browser cache if issues persist
  5. Contact administrator if problem continues

Widgets Not Loading

  1. Check browser console for errors
  2. Verify you have necessary permissions
  3. Try resetting widget layout
  4. Refresh the page
  5. Report to administrator with error details

Slow Performance

  1. Reduce number of visible widgets
  2. Increase refresh intervals
  3. Use shorter time ranges
  4. Clear browser cache
  5. Close unused browser tabs
