Administrator Guide

For System Administrators and Organization Owners

This guide covers complete administrative functionality for managing organizations, users, integrations, and system configuration in the Overwatch platform.

Administrator access is provided through two main roles:

Organization Owner

  • Full administrative access within your organization
  • User management, integration setup, billing management
  • Cannot access other organizations or system-wide settings

System Administrator

  • Global administrative access across all organizations
  • System configuration, multi-tenant management
  • Platform monitoring and maintenance capabilities

Complete these tasks when setting up your Overwatch organization:

  • Complete organization profile setup
  • Configure organization preferences and policies
  • Set up branding and customization (if available)
  • Configure default user roles and permissions
  • Create initial user accounts or configure SSO
  • Define role hierarchy and permissions
  • Set up user onboarding workflow
  • Configure notification preferences
  • Connect monitoring platforms (Datadog, New Relic, etc.)
  • Set up notification channels (email, Slack, webhooks)
  • Configure API keys and webhook endpoints
  • Test all integrations for proper functionality
  • Review and configure security policies
  • Set up audit logging and monitoring
  • Configure session management and timeouts
